Members and visitors, once again I find I have to report on the passing of another dear friend and long time member of the QSA.
John Ellin, a keen shooter and published author, passed on June 13th, he was 75 years young and had been in ill health for some time suffering from pulmonary fibrosis. On our shoots he would often surprise fellow shooters with his accomplishments using his original Henry Lancaster rifle in .45/100 calibre, including winning the 1000yd Billy Dixon competition in 2016. Sadly John lost his good wife Margaret a few years ago and so our thoughts are with his daughter Karen, he will be missed by all who knew him and were proud to call him friend. Rest In Peace John.

It is with a heavy heart that I have to report the passing of a very dear friend and founder member of the QSA. Douglas ‘Dougie’ Herod crossed over in his sleep in the early hours of Thursday morning, he was being treated for lung and heart difficulties but his death took his family and friends by complete surprise, our thoughts are with his wife Enid, Ian his brother and his daughters Heather and Tracy, he will be sorely missed by all who knew him and were proud to call him friend. Rest In Peace buddy.........

Formed in 1997 by a bunch of enthusiasts inspired by the Tom Selleck movie, Quigley Down Under, to promote the use of American style external hammer black powder cartridge rifles, both original and authentic modern reproductions. Our shoots are based at the famous Diggle rifle range complex in the north of England. We hold events throughout the year, shooting at all at distances from 100 to 1000yds.
