THE QUIGLEY SHOOTING ASSOCIATION.

MARCH QUIGLEY COMPETITION.

Saturday 11th March, a pleasant dry morning, made even better by the absence of the normally ubiquitous snaking Diggle wind.

Thirteen black powder firers assembled at 400yds for stage 1, which continued our customary format of a fouling shot followed by two sighters and fifteen shots to score at the Quigley bucket. High scores are usually elusive on this stage with so many near misses only scoring one point but Darren Wallis continued his great form and scored enough hits on the bucket to take the lead with 51 points against nearest rival Eric Todd with 39 points. After lunch, stage 2 was a reprise of stage 1 only this time on the buffalo silhouette at 600 yds. Top scorer on this stage once again was Darren Wallis with 57 points followed closely by Dennis Richardson with 55 points. We welcome a new member Steve Smith who managed a respectable 33 points at 600 yds once he found out which direction to point the barrel……

The final scores were as follows.
